Though some leftwing critics of Israel continue to attack the country for its bellicosity (especially toward Palestinian aggressors), this documentary counters that image by profiling a number of Israeli citizens who have cut against the grain of popular thought (and alienated many of their neighbors) with their remarkable peace activism. Subjects include a Rabbi, a grandmother, a soldier and an anarchist, uniformly striving for two increasingly elusive goals: peace in the Middle East and their country's permanent withdrawal from Palestinian territories.
