Speaking IELTS part 1

1. What color do you like?

Although some people may consider pink as girly, I still like it a lot. The colour of pink symbolizes caring, compassion, unconditional love and charm. When I go shopping, I usually pick the clothes that are in pink. 
 

2. Why do you like the particular color?

Actually, I should like a particular colour in order to make the task of choosing my outfit easier. Moreover, sometimes my personality can be demonstrated through colours, so having one favorite colour can be a good way helping other people know more about me. 

3. Do you like red color? Why/ why not?

I am really into red, because it displays a lot of power and represents passionate love. I think it is very romantic when a guy gives me a red rose, and I will stand out of the crowd if putting on red outfit. 

4. Do you usually wear clothes in your favorite color?

I have my favorite colour but it doesn’t mean that I will put on the clothes in that coloureveryday. But in some special occasions, I think dressing some clothes in the colour I lovecan boost my mood and make me more confident. 

5. Are there any colors that have special meaning in your country?

I think brown is a very special colour in Vietnamese culture. As you may know, Vietnam still heavily depends on agriculture, and brown represents the colour of soil and also represents the hardships that Vietnamese farmers have to endure. 

6. Are colors important to you?

Well, yes, of course. I need to care about colours when choosing suitable clothes, shoes or hats. Colour plays a crucial role in fashion, doesn’t it? Also, in Vietnamese culture, the lunar year when each person was born is attached to one colour, and this colour is supposed to give this person luck and health. Therefore, when Vietnamese people paint their house or buy a new motorbike, rather than picking up their favorite colour, they traditionally will consider which colour is suitable for their age.
